Senior Contracts Manager (Mechanical)
Location: Belfast or Pomeroy
Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience)
Travel: UK travel required (1–2 days per week)
The Opportunity
A well-established and growing engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to take a lead role in overseeing its mechanical division.
This position offers a clear pathway into a more operational/strategic leadership role, making it ideal for a senior professional looking to step beyond project delivery and into wider business oversight.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of multiple mechanical contracts while providing leadership, structure, and direction to the wider mechanical team.
This is a high-level role focused on performance, delivery standards, and operational improvement across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple mechanical contracts across Ireland and the UK
- Provide leadership and support to Contracts Managers, Project Managers, and site teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Drive consistency in processes, reporting, and commercial performance
- Work closely with senior leadership on business planning and operational strategy
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships
- Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing solutions
- Regular travel to sites in England (typically 1–2 days per week)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in mechanical contracting (HVAC, M&E, or similar)
- Proven experience operating at Senior Contracts Manager level (or similar)
- Experience overseeing multiple projects and managing teams
- Commercial awareness and strong project delivery track record
- Ambition to move into a more senior, operational leadership role
- Willingness to travel as part of the role
