A leading joinery manufacturer is seeking a Quality Control Manager to ensure all bespoke furniture, cabinetry, doors, and fittings meet strict quality, design, and customer standards.This role works closely with production teams on the factory floor to maintain craftsmanship, reduce defects, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and maintain quality standards for joinery products and materials
- Inspect work in progress and finished goods against drawings and specifications
- Supervise quality inspectors and support shop floor teams
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor quality metrics and report on performance trends
- Inspect incoming materials (timber, veneers, hardware, finishes)
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance records
Requirements
- Experience in joinery, woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing
- Previous quality control or supervisory experience in a similar environment
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and joinery processes
- Experience with CNC, assembly, and finishing processes (desirable)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar standards (advantageous)
