With over 30 years expertise in their field, I’m delighted to be working with a leading wholesaler that supplies to over 8,000 retailers across UK & Ireland. Due to continued success, they are recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Role:
- Oversee the Procurement Function within the business.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines.
- Attend trade shows and ensure that current range is evolving to meet the demands of expanding Customer base.
- Determine and manage inventory needs.
- Manage relationships with supplier partners.
- Source new products, develop, and implement purchasing strategies.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets.
- Drive process improvements around procurement systems and processes.
- Other adhoc duties.
About you:
- Experience in consumer procurement.
- Experience of working in a similar field.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Strong work ethic with an interest in the fast-paced retail distribution industry.
