The Role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth processing of supplier invoices and payments. Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, batching, and coding invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing payment runs in line with company procedures
- Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate purchase ledger records
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
