Operations Manager

Operations Manager – Work is based in the Republic of Ireland

Reporting to: Regional Director
Manages: Project Managers / Site Managers

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of civils and cabling projects across Ireland. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational delivery across a regional project portfolio.

• Drive a strong Safety First and Right First Time culture.

• Lead civils and cabling contracts, ensuring all work meets quality and compliance requirements.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and quality issues and implement corrective actions.

• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong operational relationships.

• Work with commercial teams to identify risks to budgets and project delivery.

• Set clear objectives for staff, conduct regular reviews, and ensure high performance.

• Oversee project budgets, cost control, schedules, and KPI/SLA delivery.

• Provide accurate reports to the Regional Operations Manager.

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in utilities (ideally electrical distribution).

• Strong civils project experience and contractor management background.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and commercial awareness.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate field teams.

• Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills.

• Full, clean driving licence.

• Knowledge of construction and engineering contracts.
