Joinery Operative (Social Housing Maintenance)

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Joinery Operative to carry out maintenance and repair works across social housing properties throughout Belfast and Northern Ireland.

This role involves working within both occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality joinery repairs and maintenance while providing a professional and customer-focused service to tenants. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of property maintenance, excellent workmanship, and a commitment to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of joinery maintenance and repair works within social housing properties.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks to a high standard.
• Work in occupied and void properties while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Diagnose defects and undertake appropriate repair solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with tenants and site management.
• Accurately complete relevant paperwork and job records.

Essential Criteria

• NVQ Level 3 in Joinery or a relevant trade qualification.
• Previous experience in maintenance, property repairs, or social housing environments.
• Valid CSR Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
