Electrical Engineer / Electrical Panel Fitter (Full-Time)

£12.21–£14.50 per hour | 40 hours per week | On-site (Belfast & site work as required)
Role Overview
As an Electrical Panel Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly and installation of switchgear, control panels, and distribution equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, technical skill, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble switchgear, control panels, and distribution equipment
- Carry out steelwork assembly and component positioning/mounting
- Perform copper work, including busbar mounting, cutting, bending, and punching
- Install mains and control wiring, including metering
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures in line with company policies
- Conduct on-site installation and maintenance work when required (may include work outside normal hours)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support the training of apprentices/trainees
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in electrical panel building
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work additional hours at short notice
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Criteria
- ONC or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering
Hours of Work
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Pay
- £12.21–£14.50 per hour, depending on experience
