Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing Pre-Construction team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical building services designs across a variety of sectors, from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical design solutions in line with project briefs and UK standards
- Produce drawings and specifications (LV distribution, lighting, small power, containment)
- Carry out electrical calculations and ensure compliance with BS 7671
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and attend design meetings
- Support technical documentation and respond to project queries
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Projects:
Work across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and public sector developments, covering all project stages from feasibility to construction support.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical / Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in electrical building services design
- Strong knowledge of UK regulations and design practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and time management skills
