Deputy Nurse Manager

£23+ per hour / £45,000+ annually
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse to step into a Deputy Nurse Manager role within a supportive, resident-focused care home in the Lisburn area. As Deputy Nurse Manager, you will work alongside the Home Manager to maintain clinical excellence, lead and mentor the care team, and ensure residents receive the highest standard of nursing and personal support.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day clinical leadership within the home

Administer medications and clinically manage resident care plans

Monitor vital signs and escalate any changes in residents’ conditions

Lead and guide the care team in delivering respectful, person-centred support

Oversee nutrition, hydration, and general wellbeing of residents

Ensure accurate and compliant documentation

Liaise effectively with families, GPs, and external healthcare professionals

Promote best practice and engage in ongoing professional development

Maintain high standards of safety, dignity, and comfort across the home
What We’re Looking For
-
Active NMC registration
-
At least 1 year of Charge nursing experience, ideally within Nursing home or long-term care
-
Strong communication and leadership skills
-
Confidence in making sound clinical decisions

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Solid understanding of current nursing standards and care regulations
