Estimator
We are seeking an Estimator to join a busy construction and engineering team. The successful candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, review drawings and specifications, and support projects to stay within budget.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Key duties:
- Carry out steel take-offs from drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
- Prepare cost estimates and detailed quotations for structural steelwork, staircases, balustrades and architectural metalwork.
- Work with project managers, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
- Follow health and safety, quality and CE marking procedures.
- Handle customer enquiries, provide pricing and support stock purchasing and control.
Requirements:
- Experience as an Estimator or similar role within construction or engineering.
- Good understanding of steelwork and engineering principles.
- Strong maths, analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a full driving licence.
- AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential.
