Multi Skilled Engineering Technician
We are recruiting for a Dual Skilled Engineering Technician to join a busy, fast-paced manufacturing environment in Ballymena. This is a hands-on maintenance role suited to a strong mechanical and electrical engineer who enjoys problem solving, reducing downtime, and keeping production machinery running at its best.
The role:
· Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance across plant, machinery and site services
· Diagnose faults and complete mechanical and electrical repairs to minimise downtime
· Support installations, upgrades, refurbishments and improvement projects
· Use the CMMS system to record work and support ongoing asset performance
· Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve safety, quality, efficiency and reliability
· Maintain high standards of engineering, hygiene, food safety and health and safety compliance
What we are looking for:
· Dual-skilled mechanical and electrical engineering background
· HNC or equivalent engineering qualification
· 17th Edition Wiring Regulations or equivalent electrical qualification
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering technician or skilled craftsperson role
· Strong fault-finding skills and experience working with production machinery
· Working knowledge of CMMS, permit-to-work and isolation/lock-off procedures
· Good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Hours are weekly rotating shifts of
04.00 – 12.30
12.00 – 20.30
Overtime is paid at OT1.5 unless it is a Sunday and then it is OT2.
