Buyer, North Down, £40k – £45k + benefits
We are working with a leading NI owned & operated FMCG producer who supply across the UK & Ireland to recruit their new permanent Buyer.
Joining a busy procurement team you will be working on the procurement and purchasing of raw materials, ensuring quality, cost & supply needs are consistently achieved. This will include;
- Procure fresh produce and raw materials for production
- Manage supplier queries, pricing, terms, quality and supply issues
- Support QA/Goods-In with POs, traceability, stock rotation and records
- Maintain accurate pricing, procurement, supplier and delivery data
- Secure back-up supply and source new materials as required
- Monitor markets, seasonality, pricing and consumer trends
- Assist with customs clearance and resolve system issues
- Recommend improvements to procurement processes
What we are looking for…
- Purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience
- Sound level of IT skills to include procurement software
- Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable as would be customs clearance experience
- Strong communication skills
