This is your opportunity to join a world-renowned manufacturing business who are seeking for a Buyer to join their highly successful team on a permanent full-time basis.
About you…
- +3 years Buying experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Duties…
- Work with management regarding maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
- Negotiate the best prices at the best quality in all dealings with suppliers.
- Seek for improvements in purchasing procedures and methods
- Organise purchasing requisitions
- Work closely with internal departments in assuring the timely supply of materials
- Manage material costing and all associated material aspect
- Participant in the development of creating an accurate and efficient system
- Take part in filling of POs
- travel to nominated trade fairs and vendor premises
- Enter data into databases or other computerised systems
- Maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information
- Other adhoc duties
